Spending Holidays with Siblings in Manila

My sister is in Manila visiting and spending the holiday break with my other sisters who lives around Metro Manila.  I wish that I can be with them  this holiday but I can't so I will just look at the photos of their family gathering.

I kept texting my sister Lynn  and asking them what they are doing hahaha.  Isn't that obvious how I miss my sisters back home?

Anyway, I grabbed these photos from my sister's Facebook page.  My youngest sister  is still with my other sisters and she will be spending her new year with them as well.  I hope that they upload some photos soon so I can see all of them.

Tuxedo Rental and Formal Wear

While character is more important than physical appearance, how you choose to dress will to a great extent inform people's opinion of you. If you are not too keen about your appearance then you might as well forget about making great first impressions.
Formal wear has for a long time been held in high regard. Showing up for an occasion clad in a nice suit and a tie will definitely get the attention of quite a number of those present. For those planning to tie the knot, a wedding tuxedo rental will go a long way in enhancing the aesthetics of the day.

If you are well dressed, and do get to meet people during an event, you can bet that they will pay close attention to what you have to say. This is the power of formal wear. If you ever get called for an interview, make sure that you show up in clean and striking formal wear. If you come clad in anything else, then you risk not being taken seriously and this will significantly reduce your chances of getting the job.

Whenever you are representing your company in any official event, it is also important to dress in formal wear. The aim here of course is to ensure that you make a very good impression and consequently get people interested in what you have to say and offer. This is even more important if the company in question is yours and you are just starting out.
When choosing formal wear for an event there are several things that you need to have in mind with the most important one being the event itself. You need to ensure that whatever you choose is relevant for the occasion in question. The other factor to consider is your own body. Make sure that whatever you wear fits comfortably. Avoid anything that's too tight or too baggy otherwise you risk attracting negative attention.
Weddings demand that all those in attendance should dress their very best -- dressed to kill as it were. This is not a written rule or anything of the sort; it's just something that everyone knows. This is why in most weddings it usually seems as though everybody is trying to outdo each other.

The tuxedo is a very popular wedding attire among men especially those who are closely related to the groom. It is worth noting, however, that tuxedos are not exactly cheap. Couple this with the fact that they are rarely worn and immediately you realize that it doesn't make much sense to purchase one. The most sensible alternative is the wedding tuxedo rental. With this option, once you are done with the attire you can return it to the tailors' until such a day that you need it again. Renting a tuxedo can be up to 6 times cheaper than buying one.
Another reason why renting a tuxedo is better than buying one is because you never have to worry about dry cleaning and other such matters. It's pretty simple, once you are done with the attire, simply put it on a hanger and take it back where you got it; the people there will take care of the rest. Convenient and hassle-free is the best way to summarize this option.

Practicum Teachers' Christmas Party

My youngest sister had their  Christmas party sometime this week.  I grabbed these photos from her friend's page in Facebook.  I chatted with  my friend the other night and she told me that  this is  their's last week of school.  I haven't  talk to my sister yet but I am sure that she will be going home  next week.  I hope that I could talk to my mother when she come to Legazpi.  I miss my family back home especially during Christmas time.  If only I could  go home... I could only wish..
Everyone in my place told me that I look like my Mom but looking at my sister, she look  more like my  Mom than I do.  I will share an old photo of my  Mom sometime here in  this blog so you will see.

Cote d’Azur

In the southeast corner of France, accompanied by the natural beauty of the Mediterranean coastline, lies Cote d’Azur. The stunning destination has proved to be an extremely popular choice for British tourists over the years. The manor was built in exactly a year back in 1927, yet it integrates architecture from a variety of different centuries including the 12th and 15th century. Another location to make the most of is the Provencale Hideaway, situated in the heart of Provence. The 15thcentury manor is surrounded by charming countryside and makes the most of traditional architecture, whilst there’s even room for a heated swimming pool and the ability to sleep 28 guests.

Seminar for Graduating Education Students

Here are some recent photos f my sister with her friends when they attended a seminar for the graduating students of College of Education.

I am glad that  my sister is not shy  anymore.  She used to be very bashful when  she was growing up.  I even endorsed her to my former boss  because she was very shy to ask for the  requirements of becoming a student assistant in school.  I am glad that her experienced  transformed her a bit.  I hope that she learned all the necessary skills that she needs when she  finishes her degree.  She will need a lot of skills if she wants to be a n efficient and effective teacher.

Puerto Rico, the All Star Island

My youngest sister is graduating  from  her  primary education  degree in March and I am excited for her.  She  expresses her  gratitude towards  us for sending her to school.  She said that  she  would love to land a job so she could  visit places and travel like we do.  I told her that if she plays her card right, she would be able to travel too.  I even  teased her  and told her , "You can live your own 5-star vacation story in    Puerto Rico."  And then she said, where is Puerto Rico?  I told her that I haven't been there myself but hopefully, if given the chance, that  we can go together.  Puerto Rico is an All-Star island that anyone who love adventures,  love to  eat different kinds of  foods, this is the perfect place to go to unwind and enjoy.

Filled with the world class attractions, Puerto Rico will  turn  anyone's trip into an unforgettable  5-star story of  their lives.   Here are some    exciting  things to look for when visiting Puerto Rico:

  • It has 270 miles of coastline and featured in the Top 10 beaches from Travel Channel -- including Flamenco Beach in Culebra, often cited as one of the best beaches in the world.
  • You can glow like an angel in the water in the Bioluminescent bays.
  • You can visit the only rainforest under US national park service, El Yunque, and climb to the clouds.
  • History Buffs can enjoy old world charm of San Juan.
  • Adventurers can enjoy horse back riding or the magnificent Camuy caverns that runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river in the world.
  • Foodies can experience the delicacies of Puerto Rican gastronomy and it’s famous Rums.
I always dream of riding a horse so I would probably  lean on doing that if I were to  visit this beautiful island.  Do you want to see how  beautiful the island is?  Why not Like SeePuertoRico.com on Facebook and get  an updates from them.  You can also Follow @PRTourismCo on Twitter so you'd get the  latest deals and  news about the  island.  The video below   shows some amazing views about the El Yunque Rainforest so make sure to watch  it while you are here.  The good thing about  traveling to the island is that, it doesn't require you to have a passport or you don't need to bring foreign money with you.   They are as  high tech as  anywhere else. You can also share via comments  what occasion you would want to  travel to Puerto Rico and who will you  travel with?

5 Must-See Attractions in Frankfurt

Is there a city that punches above its weight class quite like Germany’s fifth-largest? Right there is part of your answer. Because Frankfurt is not Germany’s capital or flagship city. It isn’t even the capital of its own state (that would be Wiesbaden).

Frankfurt, Germany Skyline
What Frankfurt is, however, is a dynamo of a financial centre. Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne may have more people (though to be fair, the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region ranks second) but even Germany’s capital can’t match Frankfurt’s economic clout.

On this front Frankfurt has much going for it. The Hesse city practically occupies the centre of the European Union. The European Central Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, Frankfurt Stock Exchange and many powerful commercial banks are all headquartered in Frankfurt. Not too shabby. Now you know why no other Alpha city (that all-important classification from the Globalization and World Cities Research Network) has less people.

Not entirely coincidentally, Frankfurt is also a nonpareil transport hub in continental Europe. Only Amsterdam, and maybe Brussels, can touch it. Frankfurt Airport is one of the world's best and, indeed, busiest international airports by passenger traffic. It’s also ground zero for Lufthansa, Germany's flag carrier and Europe’s largest airline. Moreover, Frankfurt Central Station is one of the largest rail terminals on the continent.

A lot of people, then, do business in and pass through the city every single day. But when they book luxury hotels in Frankfurt, what is there for them to see outside of the boardroom? Tons of remarkable stuff, as luck as it.

People often think of Frankfurt as a modern, contemporary city and those descriptors are apt. Architecturally, the city has its state of the art and borderline futuristic stars, from The Squaire to the Palais Quartier development. But there’s so much more than steel and glass to enjoy in this buzzing metropolis. Frankfurt’s restaurant and bar scene, for one, has improved by leaps and bounds over the last decade (with seven Michelin star restaurants at last count). Museums in the city are truly top-notch as well.

With all that in mind, here’s a useful list of interesting attractions in Frankfurt to keep handy.

German Architecture Museum
It makes sense, in a way, to start here. Frankfurt is a vital nerve centre for world architecture and, certainly, for German Architecture. The Deutsches Architekturmuseum, or DAM, bestows several important prizes in the field every year but, most vitally, for visitors, unfurls a terrific collection of exhibits and documents.

German Film Institute
Located, like the DAM, on Frankfurt’s Museumsufer on the south embankment of the Main River, the Deutsches Filminstitut contains one of the most prolific archives of cinematographic and cinematic material. A must for amateur and avid cinephiles alike, the DIF is a wonderful place to geek out on film.

Städel
The Städel art museum has one of the most significant collections in all of Europe, all housed in a handsome building re-designed by local architect Johannes Krahn in the 1960s. But back to that collection: try 2,700 paintings, 100,000 drawings and prints, over 600 sculptures and a huge reference library.

Senckenberg Natural History Museum
Frankfurt’s Naturmuseum Senckenberg is second only to Berlin’s natural history museum in importance but takes first place in a few categories. The world’s largest collection of avian taxidermy, for one, and some remarkable dinosaur skeletons. Over half a million people visit the museum every year.

Palmengarten
The largest botanical garden in Germany takes up a whopping 22 hectares and is located in the tony Westend-Süd district of Frankfurt. Palmengarten has a long history but was completely overhauled in the early 1990s. It’s now one of the most popular attractions in the city.

Having been in Germany for many years now, Elise has traveled to various locations and wants to inform everyone of the highlights on a number of different cities.

Keeping Expectations Realistic with Online Dating

In five years, all those criteria you carefully crafted for your online profile won’t matter.  You’ll forget you thought it was essential that your future partner was a devout reader of Kafka and had an affinity for small, fluffy dogs.  All those prayers you shot up to heaven about making the ideal decision won’t matter, because you’ll have other problems and other passions.  So why does that perfect decision carry so much weight right today?
Secular culture has an enormous effect on Christian culture.  The ways we interact with people and react to things in the news show that we only absorb bits and pieces of the Bible, calling ourselves Christians according to the verses that we like the most.  Who can argue with loving the persecuted and taking care of orphans?  But these practices have also made us forget which decisions are left to us.

“You simply will never find a human being who is pre-packaged to fit your every personality quirk, cultural preference or lifestyle particularity,” writes seminary student Jared LaFitte.  No one will ever be good enough if you don’t put the work in, and that includes the person you believe God says is The One.   This isn’t to say that Christians shouldn’t pray about the people they date.  In fact, they should still maintain a healthy prayer life–the Bible is pretty blatant about seeking guidance.  But at the end of the day, God expects wisdom acted out by his followers.

Most of us already know if the person we’re with is right for us or not, and choosing the right person to live life with shouldn’t mean that we keep praying to get God to agree with us.  “Any marriage is built and shaped by two different, sinful people adjusting to one another” (LaFitte 2013).  Marriage, contrary to popular belief, isn’t about falling in love and living happily ever after; it takes more work!  Pairing up for life is all about showing just how powerful God is while learning to serve another person with nothing held back.

Looking at Christian Mingle reviews will show you that many people are constantly searching for Mr. or Ms. Right. However, while sifting your search criteria for someone who shares your values is important, you must be careful that it doesn’t lead to unrealistically high expectations.  “Happiness doesn’t come from a spouse fitting your every selfish expectation; it comes from you and your spouse working and adjusting to serve each other while rooted in Christ’s love” (LaFitte 2013).  Moreover, one of the best ways God refines your character is through marriage where you must continually learn about both your strengths and weaknesses and how to live in harmony with another human being. Your spouse becomes a mirror to help you see areas where you could grow and improve to better honor them and God. When done in a spirit of love rather than contempt, tremendous growth and change can occur that will bless your connection and intimacy.

Future Teacher

My sister  sent me a message on Facebook last Sunday evening.  She asked me to pray for her because she is going to do her first   practice teaching.  I know that she can do it but I understand her why she's nervous, I am the same way when  I have to do something for the first time.
Anyway, good luck to you bunso.  This will be the great avenue for you to hone your  teaching skills towards becoming a better  mentor in the future.  Please know that we are not only praying for your successful teaching career ahead but we are also proud of what you have accomplished so far.  Go, break a leg,  okay?

Save A Lot Of Money With This Plumbing Advice

Now is a great time to finally learn more about plumbing. You have considered it before, but never had the time to do so.
Noisy pipes are an easy problem to fix. You must anchor all exposed pipe.
Don't use any colored tablets in your toilet. These may deodorize, but they can seriously damage the rubber pieces in the toilet, which can prevent your toilet from functioning correctly.
If the water in your toilet is low along with the toilet being clogged, you might be able to do the trick with a bucket of warm water. Repeat this once your water returns back to a lower level.
  • Check the floor for any give in order to be sure that there is no damage in the floors. You can wind up saving your money simply by noticing and treating this problem early as possible.
  • Don't put things like fat, grease or fat down the drain. This is especially the case if you possess a garbage disposal; fats and oils cause blades to run slower.
  • Sewer Services in Pittsburgh, PA
  • Make sure you dispose of oils in other places other than the sink.
  • Clean your dryer's lint filter. This will help your dryer to work better and prevents fires.
  • Be sure you inspect your lint trap for tears or holes that could mean lint is going into your pipes, because this can cause bigger problems as it may mean that lint is escaping into your pipes.
Don't bother running your garbage disposal. In contrast, sending water and garbage through the disposal together can shorten its lifespan by encouraging more waste to stick to the moving parts.
If you find yourself needing a plumber, check the references of the person or company before hiring them. A plumber with bad credentials might not skilled in a particular task could actually aggravate the problem. Check out online reviews of various plumbing companies, and ask your friends and family for recommendations.

If you are experiencing sewage backing up to your toilet, there is likely a clog in the line that connects your sewer line to your main line. If you can't manage this blockage, you need to contact a professional to snake the line clear.

Plumbing requires more skills than just an understanding of water. Plumbers are most frequently called on to repair water lines.

A lot of people find plumbing issues and think that even small problems will destroy their dwelling. This can be avoided if you know one thing.
Sewer Services in Pittsburgh, PA
Choose your drain cleaners you use with care. Some drain cleaners have strong chemicals that will probably damage the pipes. Choose a brand that is well-known and whose label says it will not harm pipes.

If you are installing a new water heater and you notice a pipe extending from the drainage pipe, take time and care to reconnect this pipe when you finish. It's probably a recirculation pipe, and that does a tremendous job of keeping your water hot without wasting water along the way.

In conclusion, it's really important that you know the necessary things about your plumbing system. In addition to being able to help loved ones and friends with basic plumbing issues, you may be able to save yourself a significant amount of cash. First Snow Fall

We had our first snowfall yesterday.  The temperature is frigid till today but according to the  weather forecast,  warmer days is up ahead so that is something I am looking forward to.  Despite the below  freezing temperature today, I went for a walk after I dropped off my daughter's lunch in school.  I prepared her lunch but she forgot it in the car when she got out so hubby has it at work.  I have a very important appointment tomorrow  so the short walk did me a great favor releasing the stress I have.  Hopefully, the outcome would be positive for  tomorrow's event.

I hope and pray also that  assistance and relief would  come across the people who were badly hit by the typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban and other parts of the Philippines.  It makes me cry every time I watch the news online.  It brings back memories when our  own home was  wiped away  by a tidal wave  years ago.

The Wider Social Acceptance of Electronic Cigarettes

It's been ten years since my father have passed and I still missed him till this very day. I wish that he could have stay a little longer so he could have seen my kids. He would have enjoyed their company. When my father was still living, I used to remind him to slow down on smoking because he was getting older and his lungs is not as strong as when he was younger. He would just shrug his shoulder and said that if it's his time to go, he would accept it. He said that smoking cigarette or not, we will all die according to His plans. But that was my father, he had a mind of his own. I guess, breaking up from smoking was very hard to do. I remember when he tried to quit, he had a rough time, I guess the withdrawals from nicotine was hard on his body.

Nowadays, people who smoke cigarettes have a choice ; they can opt to use an electronic cigarette over the traditional one. Electronic cigarette has been socially accepted as smokers found out that e-cig or electronic cigarette cost less compared to the traditional cigarettes. With the former, you can eliminate the waste (cigarette butts). Vapor cigarettes or e-cigs are the modern alternative to smoking. E-Cigs remind me of the Mom that I work with in school, we work as volunteers in the school where our kids go. She is a doctor and she told us one time that they have patients who came in who has a hard time breathing. They later found out that it was caused by too much using of electronic cigarette. So even though e-cigs are widely known and used, there are still consequences when you abuse using it. The key is to use it in moderation. Anything used in moderation is not bad, so it is really up to you.

What I don't like is that when other people who smoke have no regard for other people around them, especially the kids. I don't like being around smokers because it triggers my migraine so bad and it the smoke suffocates me. I am so glad that my husband quit smoking way before I met him.

Has any of you tried E cigs? I don't smoke so there is no way really to tell what is the difference between Electronic cigarettes over traditional cigarette. There are so many companies that offer vapor cigarettes such as 21stcenturysmoke.com.

Typhoon Haiyan

I was really worried when typhoon Haiyan  hit the Philippines last Saturday because my family lives near the ocean and we have a  very frightening experience about typhoons.  Then I saw this photo in the newspaper featuring  my province and I  was  so concerned especially that I was not able to  contact  my family, I still haven't got a hold of them till now.  I think the  cell sites are down and I dunno when  they will restore it..

Thankfully, I talked to a friend from back home and she said that my family are okay.  Thanks be to God for that and for your prayers as well!  I thought that the dilemma is  over with the typhoon but now another one is getting ready to slammed   my country.  Oh dear Lord, please spare the people.

Get really good references for contractors you use on your home improvements. It is far too easy for a con artist to take your money and run, leaving you with a wreck of a home and no more money to fix it. Don't trust just anyone. Make sure you have plenty of excellent references, from people you really trust.  Just like when you move a heavy piece of furniture with drawers in it, you will want to remove these from your cabinets and counter bases before you install them. They will be much lighter and easier to deal with if these have been taken out ahead of time. They are very simple and easy to put in when you are finished.

Don't make improvements that are impractical. For example, it is not a wise invest to install a sun room with no insulation in the colder climates. Build what you want to, but try not to go beyond what will be useful in your climate.  When choosing a contractor, make sure to interview them and check references. There are few things more painful than a home improvement project gone wrong. At best you'll have to live in a house that makes you unhappy and at worse you could find yourself without a place that's safe to live in. Perform your due diligence upfront in making your choice so that you won't be surprised at the results at the end.

If you actually have water dripping out from beneath a sink or the tap, be sure that you do not try to repair this by yourself. Call an expert and get the job done right.  The kitchen is a great place to start improving your home. Look first to the walls, cleaning them up from any grease or other unsightly stains with appropriate detergents. This will spiff them up and have them quickly ready for repainting. A good color choice for a kitchen is tan. Your kitchen will always look great if you choose this color.
Change your shower curtain once a month. Showering produces excessive humidity in a bathroom that in turn causes shower curtains to develop mold and mildew. To keep your space fresh and healthy, replace your curtains. Don't buy expensive plastic curtains with hard to find designs, and you won't feel bad about replacing it.  As you begin your home improvement project, remember to be flexible. Projects may take longer than you would like, may cost more than you want to pay and may eat up more resources than you planned on using. Be flexible in all stages of the process, and you will find that the project will be a more enjoyable experience for you.

Prior to tackling a major home improvement project by yourself, it might be wise to solicit a professional opinion. A professional may have simple advice for you that saves both time and money. You can make a huge mistake if you don't talk with a professional.  Home improvement projects are so popular because they can be tailored to almost any price range or skill level. However, it is still important to proceed with caution and research any repair you plan before you begin. Hopefully, the tips in this article will prove useful. Good luck with your improvement projects!

LET or Licensure Examination for Teachers

I find out that  there is an added  6 units to the  graduating student  in education department at my sister's  school.  A friend of mine told me that the  College of Education has incorporated the review in the curriculum that way, the  graduating students can  attend to it while they are doing their practice teaching to the school that they are assigned to.  I am glad that they do.  MY sister is suppose to only have 6 units left which is the practicum but now she has  12 units  this semester.  I sent the money she needed for the  practicum uniforms and for the tuition fee as she is no longer a working student and I have to pay the whole thing.

I hope that she would be able to  gather all the information that she needs before taking the LET or Licensure Exam for Teachers and I am keeping my fingers  crossed that she does take the test, she passes so she can teach right away.

Mom's Worries

I talked to my Mother  last month and  I can tell by listening to her voice that she was worried about something.  I asked her about it and she said that she is worried about my sister getting married soon because she has a  boyfriend.  I told her that it is quite normal  for  a girl at my sister age to have a boyfriend.  To ease her worries, I told her that I will talk to my sister.
To make the story short, my sister assured me that  she knows her boundaries and her obligation.   This must sound weird to  Caucasian families but  Asian families are like that.  The parents  send the kids to school and in return, the kids return the favor by helping the parents when she  get a job.  Not all cases end up like that but for my family, it is that way.  Well, I hope that my sister hold off for  a while and  find a job first  after she graduates before settling down.  (You got that Bunso?)

Some Obvious And Not-So Obvious Benefits Of Soundproofing Windows In NYC

You choose to live in New York City either because you love noise or because you made a trade off. In return for putting up with a lot of noise, you get the excitement of living in one of the liveliest cities in the United States. You could say this about other big cities too. I personally moved to NYC because of my career.

One of the first things that I had to do when I moved was invest in sound proof windows. They are a little more expensive, but definitely worth it in the long run. You might be concerned about replacing windows, which seem perfectly good, or would be if they were part of a rural home or office. Your windows are good, maybe great, and they can stay. Installers place a second, sound proof pane of glass into the existing frame. This creates a vacuum almost no noise can penetrate.

For one thing, this means you can soundproof the windows of any city building, even if that structure was built 100 years ago and is classified as a heritage monument. There are few things owners and renters are permitted to change within such structures, but if the look of a building is not altered and existing components remain, it is possible to soundproof.

Home owners spend a lot of time choosing a house which suits them, right down to the windows. How can they keep what they want and reduce noise if they live in a city? Most residential houses exist outside of cities, but the volume still spreads. Reduce noise pollution in the home by soundproofing without changing the look or function of exterior windows. That is, if you liked the view you had, it will still be there.

Does noise interfere with your concentration at work or meetings with clients? The same thing goes for commercial buildings. Arrange for this addition to be made without taking anything out.
Hurricane Safe Windows
In cities where the volume is always loud, one can easily tune out the volume inside, and not just inside a building. One's ears are affected slowly by the constant noise and after a few years of putting up with noise day after day, hearing loss is the obvious effect. Prevent hearing loss, or at least slow down the process if it cannot be controlled completely.

A window that lets in too much noise also lets in cold, heat, moisture, and dirt. Think about noise reduction as an investment that will lead to lower heating bills during cold months, fewer hours with air conditioning on in summer, less mold and mildew, and a cleaner interior. Car exhaust and other environmental pollutants seep unnoticed into buildings through windows until they discolor walls, ceilings, and floors. They also cause allergic reactions and asthma. As soon as you have your windows looked after, you will notice that energy bills get smaller. You spend less time sniffling, wheezing, and wiping up mildew. Your home or office will look, smell, and feel cleaner.

Practice Teaching

I talked to my sister   the other day and she told me that she need some money to buy her uniform for her practicum.    I have to send her  the amount  this week so she can order her uniform and be ready for her  practice teaching  course.  I hope that she can apply all the  knowledge that she has learned  for years in order to teach young minds.  This is another  important step for her teaching career.  She will be teaching at Divine Word Elementary School.
She is a bit nervous about it but I know that she can do it.  I understand how she feel though.  I am the same way, whenever I have to do something for the first time, it is always giving me  so much anxiety.

Photo Canvas for the Family Back Home

I am planning to send my family another box of things for Christmas.  I am not sure if  it is advisable for me to  send one of the photo canvases of my kids so my Mom can see them in a big print.  I was never aware  of how beautiful photo canvas is until this year when I  tried one of the companies that offered  their services for free to me in exchange of my honest review.

Home Sweet Home, One Project At A Time

Whether you only have a hundred dollars to spend on a home improvement project or thousands at your disposal, the prospect of enhancing and adding value to your home is very exciting for most people. The advice that follows will be just what you need to get improvements done.  You can make your ceilings appear higher by following two simple tips. Consider painting vertical stripes on the walls, or adding a floor lamp. This can be a good way to enhance the look of your room. This can even make your room appear bigger and more spacious than it really is.  For an economical approach to floor tiling, consider installing vinyl instead of ceramic or stone. Vinyl will last due to its durability and water resistance, and installation is easy with the adhesive backing. Vinyl flooring comes in two varieties: separate tiles for small areas and large sheets for bigger areas.
Arch Window - Casement & Arch Windows Cranberry Township PA & Murrysville PA

Arch Windows

When you want to enhance your standard square windows, you should consider investing in arch windows. Our Murrysville business can order any these custom features through one of our many suppliers that will bring light and beauty into any home. Whether you want to combine it with your Cranberry Township home's outward swing windows, or with its double hang windows, Energy Swing Windows Inc. can create a solution that is just right for you.
Instead of purchasing white towels for your bathroom, choose darker colors or patterns. White is a color that picks up everything and needs constant bleaching. You can choose to have your fingertip towels and washcloths to be one color and your actual bath towels to be a different color altogether. It saves a lot of trouble when washing and makes your bathroom appear a lot cleaner and put together.

Paint your walls a new color. This can be a quick way to make a huge difference in your home's appearance. Different colors can change the mood of the room and give the room a different personality. Many times a coat of paint can eliminate the need to change much else.  One of the smallest improvements to your home with the biggest impact is a deep cleaning of the house. Spending the time to clean every section of your house will improve the overall smell, look, and environment of your home. A thorough cleaning is often overlooked as a cost effective method of home improvement.

If your front lawn features a large, full tree, you can add upward-facing outdoor accent lighting to emphasize the beautiful texture of the leaves and trunk. Upward lighting is also a good choice to accentuate details like trellises or archways. Outdoor accent lighting also adds significant value to the home.  Do-it-yourself hardwood floor installation is especially tempting for homeowners who want to save money by tackling the project on their own. This is fine for most faux-wood kits but if you are using actual wood that must be sanded first, it may be best to hire a professional to handle the sanding. Real wood is quite expensive, and even the smallest sanding goof can ruin the flooring.

If you are installing new flooring, try to find one that has a heating option. This is especially beneficial for colder climates, as heating in the floor will keep your feet warm. There are many kinds of flooring that offer radiant heat options including certain hardwoods, ceramic tiles, linoleum, and bamboo.  Are the fans in your home looking a bit overworked? Why not buy new fan blades and replace the old ones, so that your home looks clean. Dirty fan blades can make your home look dirty. If you are looking for an easy way to keep your home clean, try putting in new fan blades.

Never install non-operable windows during a home improvement effort. Except for picture windows or large, exotic glazing, every standard-sized window should be capable of opening. Regardless of climate, for every home there will be times of the year and times of the day when cracking the window open is the best form of air conditioning.

Experiencing Problems With Your Roof? Try These Suggestions!

If you have a home and are like most people, you do not know enough or get concerned about roofing. But, to be sure your home and family are secure, you need to pay attention. This article will educate you lots of tips to help you take care of that roof. Keep on reading to learn more!
Make sure that you're secured whenever you climb onto your roof.
It is important that you check out your potential contractor's history before you hire. Once you've got them, give them a call and ask them about the value and quality of the work. You need to also look at some of the properties yourself. Drive by and get a look before deciding who to hire.

Don't use short-term solutions for your roof. It may seem like a money saver, but in the end, and that may cost you more. You should take care of problems before they cause serious damages.

Make sure that the roofing contractor you hire is trained and skilled. You can ask family and friends for personal recommendations. This will ensure that you don't want to have a lot of money.

Insurance is something that you need to have when it comes to roof work. If damage occurs to your property and your roofer doesn't have the required insurance, you'll be the one responsible for the cost. Don't just take their word for it either; ask for proof that they have plenty of up to date, have them provide the insurance documents saying that it is comprehensive and current.

Check your roofing materials before installation.
If you think your roof has a leak, try using a garden hose to spray it down. You will then be able to see if there is really an leak and assess the damaged areas. This is more cost effective than hiring a lot cheaper and quicker than hiring a professional.

Think about using architectural shingles for a roof replacement project. They're more attractive and last longer. Ask your contractor you are considering what associations the company is a member of. The good contractors join industry groups so that they keep up with all the latest technological advances and current information. If they are not keeping up to date, you need to be wondering whether the contractor is fully dedicated to his work. Make sure to ask plenty of questions are clearly answered before letting your roofing contractor begin work. The worst thing you do is keep a question to yourself only to have a problem later on. If the contractor refuses to answer your questions, you probably do not want to work with them.

Seven Thousand Island

I am from the Philippines, a country with  over seven thousand islands.  The weather there is warm all through out the year so coming here in the US with four seasons,  was a big adjustment for me especially during my first year.  I literally felt like I was in the  freezer  on my very first Winter  experience.  I I could not wait till the cold months was over hahaha.  Every time cold season rolls in, I always tease my husband for us to go  to a place  with a warm weather like Aruba.  I mean , who would want to explore the beautiful  island there?  Just take a look at the photos and video  below.

If you will be given an opportunity to  explore an island, would you consider the exotic beauty of Aruba?  What do you think you would  do first, explore the cultural melting pot or visit the island's hidden gems and beaches?  Or would you explore the culinary scene first?  Share your thoughts with me through jotting it down  at the comment section.  For the meantime, you can explore the Aruba travel website and see   the virtual  tour first of what the island has to offer.

Selfie Mode

I didn't know that selfie is a word hehehe.  When I first  saw this word in a social media, I thought that they just made it up but it does exist in an oxford dictionary that  states:
a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website:

Selfie Mode by my Youngest Sister Mae

Pronunciation: /ˈsÉ›lfi/ (also selfy) noun (plural selfies) informal:  Origin: early 21st century: from self + -ie selfie in other Oxford dictionaries
Occasional selfies are acceptable, but posting a new picture of yourself every day isn’t necessary.
The first photo is a selfie shot but this one below is not.  This was taken when my sister attended their  Holy Retreat.

Health Care

Business professionals who wish to further their careers through gaining more business intelligence will be glad to know that Ohio University offers a convenient online MBA degree program designed to do just that. Ohio University's College of Business has received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and provides, according to Fortune, the 3rd Best Value MBA.

Ohio University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is ranked within the top two percent of public universities in the United States. In addition, Ohio University has been recognized for its academic quality and value by Peterson's Guide to Competitive Colleges. This high standard of excellence is upheld in every facet of the University, including its online MBA program.

The flexible and convenient online MBA program at Ohio University offers three concentrations. You can choose to concentrate in the area of online mba finance,  executive management or health care. No matter what your concentration is, the MBA program is challenging, rigorous, comprehensive, and designed to develop each student into a strong business leader who will make positive change in the world.

The program focuses on current trends in business and on developing practical skills students need in order to be successful leaders in today's complex business world. Ohio University's MBA program teaches through strategic leadership, academic rigor, personalized enrichment, professional development, and real-world scenarios and experience. The program focuses on how social, economic and political issues affect today's business. Students of the program learn by participating in activities that focus on personal assessment, reflection, self-awareness, and personal growth. The following are required for admission into Ohio University's online MBA program: regionally-accredited bachelor's degree, two to five years of professional experience, 3.0 GPA, three letters of recommendation, and a goals statement. GMAT is not required for admission. The program is comprised of 35 credit hours and can be completed in as little as two years. For further information about Ohio University and its online MBA program, please visit http://onlinemba.ohio.edu/.

Accredited Online MBA

Before getting into an accredited online mba program, you need to think long and hard about whether going back to school is going to be worth it for you. Many people do this just because they are bored or they do not know what to do with their lives, and it is a very dangerous way to live. If you create a ton of debt for yourself without having any real goal that you are working toward, you just make your life much harder when you get out of school and you have to pay off that debt even if you cannot get a job.

However, this is not to dissuade you from going to school or getting a better degree. This can be a great thing for you to do, opening a lot of doors. You will have more opportunities just because you will be qualified for many jobs that you could never have applied for before. For some degrees, there are virtually no jobs that you can do without getting an advanced degree. After you get it, though, you are part of an exclusive group, so there is not nearly as much competition for the job that you want.

The biggest thing to consider is what your end goal is going to be. Do you know exactly what type of job that you want to get? If so, look at some postings for similar jobs right now. You may not be able to apply for them, but you can look at the qualifications. Is a higher degree needed? Do you need to know how to do things and perform tasks that you never learned about in undergrad? If so, getting your advanced degree is excellent because it will help you learn what you need to know and it will make your chosen career possible.

As you can see, getting an MBA might be the best choice that you ever make. Do not let the cost hold you back. However, you do not want to be someone who just goes to school for no reason, because you cannot think of anything else to do. You are paying a lot of money for a valuable degree, but it will have no value at all if you never decide to use it. You have to think about your future and how that degree fits into that future before getting it.

Good News from Back Home

I am glad that I finally get hold  of my  Mom and talked to her on the phone last weekend.  It is  s hard to  contact them right around this time of the year because of the weather.  I was able to tell her to go to my sister's place as I have sent  some money for her.  I feel bad that I can't send her  as much as I would like to.    Having no permanent job here makes it hard for me to send them regularly.  I only send my sister the  amount she needs  in school  and   very little for my  MOm but I am thankful that my husband   is always willing to  send my family back home.

My sister Mae is now on her Senior year of the education course that she is taking.  She will be practice-teaching next semester and hopefully could review for the  license examination afterwards and pass.  I could only pray and hope.
Aside from the good news that I heard from my Mom, my niece who was hospitalized is also doing well now.  She is still taking some medications but she g was able to go back to school.  Glad that she has recovered from the illness.  Thanks for your prayers by the way!

Padding sharp corners of furniture is another great way to improve your home and keep your children safe from harm. You can do this with either corner protectors or just use tape made of foam.
If you are looking to create a sense of tranquility in your rooms, choose light and airy colors, green, light green or light blue. Use cottons and linen in place of dark brocades and heavy patterns.
Be mindful of which product you select to tackle stubborn clogs. Some drain cleaners are very harsh and dangerous. Crystallized cleaners can stick to the pipes and should be avoided. Be sure to select drain cleaners that work well with the septic tank you have.

Homeowners should never hire unlicensed contractors to accomplish home improvement projects.
