There's a new developed place in Legazpi City, Philippines called Embarcadero. It did not exist when I was still there. It's nice that there are so many improvement on infrastructure, it's good for the community and the people. I would love to go for a jog there when I visit.

Internet Cafe
Hello there, world. It has been a long time since I last posted here. I have been so busy with my school projects and my duties as a working student here in school. My health is not cooperating either which makes it hard to do everything. After my presentation and defense for my major case study, I was hospitalized. I talked to my sister and found out that my niece had a urinary tract infection which I also had.
I hope and pray that my niece will feel better very soon. Take lots of fluid little princess, Tita loves you!
Anyhow, I went to an Internet Cafe near my boarding house when my sister texted me about my niece so we can further chat and also give me a chance to post something on this blog. I know that my sister's hands are full right now.
I am sharing below the pictures of me and my classmates. We are on the last league/year of our Education course, majoring in MAPEH (Music, Arts, Phys. Ed. and Health). Only few of us are taking this major subject that focuses on the children with special needs and talents.

I have to go now, it is getting late and I don't want to keep my landlady waiting for me so late. Yes, we have a curfew at our boarding house. Some don't like it but I do because it shows how our landlady cares for us.

Ligñon Hill and Mayon Volcano
Mae posted some new photos at her page in Facebook which brings back memories when we visited my family in the Philippines. It was summer time and we hiked on this hill, I felt bad for my kids and husband because the heat of the sun was too much for them. On top of this hill, you could see the majestic Mayon Volcano and there is a zipline that my daughter wanted to try but her height did not qualify for the ride. Ligñon Hill is located in the province of Albay.

On the other side, the photos below somehow healed my homesickness. These were taken in our place in Donsol Sorsogon.

Below are some of the photos during our vacation taken at Ligñon Hill. See the Mayon Volcano at the background?

Those sandy part in the last photo is where the lava flowed during the last major eruption. Mayon Volcano is a very active one. Here is a photo of the volcano when it's erupting.

Cheering Squad
I am so glad that sister is feeling better now. She is back to work and school. As you can see, she's goofing around the camera already.
She tagged me the photos of their performance during their school's Intramurals. She participated in a cheering squad for the College of Education department. This reminds me of myself as I have participated in the same activity when I was in my senior year. I remember the priests telling me "What's got in to you?" Maybe because I have never participated into that kind of activity during my early years in college. But I thought that it would be fun to try it and I did!
These photos were taken in the school's gymnasium which I think was safer than where we did ours. We performed at the quadrangle and if you fall, it would hurt as it was concrete. Gladly, we finished the performance without any injuries lol. Oh, it's fun to reminisce good memories.
Thanks for visiting!

Hospitalized
My sister's boss texted me yesterday informing me that my sister is sick. She was hospitalized due to a high fever, she caught some type of bacterial infection. My Mom went to the place where my sister is so she could take care of her for a while. She's out of the hospital now and recuperating. Oh boy, the month of February is a hard one for me. My son and sister got sick.

I grabbed these photos at my sister's Facebook page once again. It's my main source of the photos that I am posting in her blog. She and her friends at the President's office of the school where they are assigned as student assistants. I am so glad that her boss, who is a dear friend of mine is a great person.

I hope and pray that my sister, my son, and all the ailing people out there will soon find relief and get well.

Pearl Earring
When my sister first enrolled in college, she did not have two front teeth. She got used to smiling like this because she did not want people to see her toothless front hehehe.

Dalagang Pilipina
When I am feeling a little down and missing my family back home, I usually browse my sister's Facebook page and look through her pictures. It somehow relieves me from being homesick. I saw these photos and a flashback of memory immediately surge my mind. These were taken at our place. I miss the ocean, the food, the people.. Oh gosh I better stop before I cry lol.

For non-Filipino readers, if you are wondering what "Dalagang Pilipina" means, it is "Young Filipina Woman". Teenager Girl is called Dalagita.

Rebuilding a House that was Burned by the Fire
I think the worse natural disaster is fire. With typhoon, your house may get torn into pieces but at least you can still salvage some of it...
