Dalagang Pilipina

When I am feeling a little down and missing my family back home, I usually browse my sister's Facebook page and look through her pictures. It somehow relieves me from being homesick. I saw these photos and a flashback of memory immediately surge my mind. These were taken at our place. I miss the ocean, the food, the people.. Oh gosh I better stop before I cry lol.
For non-Filipino readers, if you are wondering what "Dalagang Pilipina" means, it is "Young Filipina Woman".  Teenager Girl is called Dalagita.

  1. sis, you're getting homesick na. i also miss the ocean and those coconut tress. we don't have that here in the city, haha. don't worry, someday, you're gonna come home din, and it'll be worth the wait.

  2. I like the photos you share! It is hard to be far away from our homes but you will return perhaps take the family there for a visit. Enjoyed the Pink post and always atreasure to visit you!

  4. It is hard to be away from family, friends, and home. I'm glad you have Facebook to help. Thanks for sharing your blues.

    Happy Blue Monday, Rose.

  5. I know what you mean Mae about memories and getting home sick. We live very far from all of our children too. I don't get to visit them as much as I would like to.

You two are so so cute and pretty in these photos. I too use to live near the ocean and I miss that too!

I know the feeling but it will pass. I hope today is better already!

  6. Sorry you are homesick. Hope your photos ease the pain a tiny bit.

  7. I have friends from the Philippines who were able to go back home and visit family last summer.
