Seven Thousand Island

I am from the Philippines, a country with  over seven thousand islands.  The weather there is warm all through out the year so coming here in the US with four seasons,  was a big adjustment for me especially during my first year.  I literally felt like I was in the  freezer  on my very first Winter  experience.  I I could not wait till the cold months was over hahaha.  Every time cold season rolls in, I always tease my husband for us to go  to a place  with a warm weather like Aruba.  I mean , who would want to explore the beautiful  island there?  Just take a look at the photos and video  below.

If you will be given an opportunity to  explore an island, would you consider the exotic beauty of Aruba?  What do you think you would  do first, explore the cultural melting pot or visit the island's hidden gems and beaches?  Or would you explore the culinary scene first?  Share your thoughts with me through jotting it down  at the comment section.  For the meantime, you can explore the Aruba travel website and see   the virtual  tour first of what the island has to offer.

  4. I felt the same way too when I first arrived here in the US. It was summer time and normally here in the Southern part of CA the weather is always nice and warm but I remember wearing overcoat at the time and my husband's friends were shocked to see me bundled up while they were wearing sleeveless. Oh well! LOL.

  5. I have been seeing a lot of advertising about Aruba. I have never been there before andI bet it is one beautiful and romantic place to visit. Thanks for sharing! I am different though because I love the cold season more than the summer. During the summer it gets really hot and humid especially in Kansas were we used to live and I don't like it. LOL! Weird especially coming from a Pinay who's born in the Philippines and loves the cold season.

  6. You and me both, I was always sick during winter time, well, even now I still get sick. My husband said my nose is meant to breathe in tropical weather. Aruba seems to be a nice place. Maybe when the kids are older hubby and I can go to a place where we can have fun minus the kids :)

Rebuilding a House that was Burned by the Fire

I think the worse natural disaster is fire.  With typhoon, your house may get torn into pieces but at least you can still salvage some of it...
