Hospitalized

My sister's boss texted me yesterday informing me that my sister is sick.  She was hospitalized  due to a high fever, she caught some type of  bacterial infection.  My Mom went to the place where my sister is so she could take care of her  for a while.    She's out of the hospital now and recuperating.  Oh boy,  the month of February is a hard one for me.  My son  and sister got sick.  

I grabbed these photos at my sister's Facebook page once again.  It's my main source of the photos that I am posting in her blog.  She and her friends at the President's office of the school where they are assigned as student assistants.  I am so glad that her boss, who is a dear friend of mine is  a great person.

I hope and pray that  my sister, my son, and all the ailing people out there will soon find relief and get well.

Pearl Earring

When my sister first enrolled in college, she did not have two front teeth. She got used to smiling like this because she did not want people to see her toothless front hehehe.

  But anyhow, my husband is very generous and he gave my sister money to have dentures. 

 She has complete set of teeth now but she still smiles the same lol.

Dalagang Pilipina

When I am feeling a little down and missing my family back home, I usually browse my sister's Facebook page and look through her pictures. It somehow relieves me from being homesick. I saw these photos and a flashback of memory immediately surge my mind. These were taken at our place. I miss the ocean, the food, the people.. Oh gosh I better stop before I cry lol. 

For non-Filipino readers, if you are wondering what "Dalagang Pilipina" means, it is "Young Filipina Woman".  Teenager Girl is called Dalagita.

Charcoal Sketch

Found these charcoal sketch effect that my sister created in a photo software online.  I find it hard to believe that  my youngest sister is fully grown now.  She was just a kid when I left 8 years ago.

The second photo is also  cropped online using a photomania  tools.  Ain't those cubic design neat?

The photo was taken at her cubicle in the school's President's Office.

Lastly, a big shout out  of happy  birthday to our  dearest Mom, the best mother in the whole world!

Thank you for raising good children.  We can never repay  your sacrifices in order to raise us well.  We love and miss you so much!  Happy 60th birthday Ma!

Happy New Year

Hello everyone, Zilreen Mae here.  I finally got to go online and make this short post.  I have been busy with my studies and duty at work so my  time is really limited.  Thanks  to my sister for updating this blog often.  

Happy New Year to all and I hope that I could log in and check  this blog more often.  I do appreciate all your comments, I read them all with smile.

Home for Christmas

My sister went home for  the Christmas break, she's  eXcited to be able to take some time off from school and be with  our Mom and family.  How I wish I could be with them to celebrate  the yuletide season.. sigh.  I snagged the photo below from her Facebook page, this was taken during their Christmas party at her boarding house with her  board mates and  landlady.

The Voice

I finally got to talk to my sister,  Mae,  last night.  She was working at  the office  and I asked her boss,   which happened to be a close friend of mine, if I could talk to her since she still doesn't have a cell phone.  She updated me about  Mama and our other siblings.  I told her that she is due to  update her blog but she   told me that she need to study for her prelim exam so here I am again..

Our conversation went from family, to her studies, and to the show "The Voice".    We made a bet who we think would win.  I did not know that my sister  likes watching  the TV show that I watches as well.  I watched  the result tonight and was surprised to see Trevor Hunt  went home.  I would like team Blake to win again this season.
