Out of Comfort Zone

I am glad to see that my sister has totally came out of her shell, out of her comfort zone.  She used to be so shy and timid but now, looking at her pictures, I can tell that she  has grown and has changed a bit  since the last time I've seen her.  She is on her last league of her  education degree and I wish her all the best.

Being a teacher was my dream as a kid but when I finally went to College, I changed my mind because  back then, Commerce was the "in-demand" course.

She was hesitant to  get the scholarship that the school was offering  because she was not comfortable with Education course but I told her that in order for us to  help her  in going to school, she has to do her part as well.  I am glad that she accepted the challenge, I think that she can make a good teacher in the future.  Keep it up Nene,  we have high hopes for you! Every cent we spent for you is all worth it.

MY Parents #HappyBirthdayMa!

This is the only photo that I have of my parents when they were younger.  A lot of people from the place where I grew up always told me that I looked like my mother but I think that I look more like my late father. .

My father  died ten years ago when I was about to get married.  It was a very sad moment for me and my family.  He never got to see me walked down the aisle.  I wish that I could see my Mom more often.  I will talk to her again and see if I can convince her to come here.  He does not want to leave the country because she is afraid of flying.

The last photos were taken at  the airport  when I  left the Philippines, 9 years ago.  I was 7 month pregnant with my daughter  back then.  TODAY, Mama is celebrating her 61st  birthday.  Happy birthday Ma, sorry that it's been nine years that you are celebrating your birthday without me.  I miss you a lot!  May God bless you with good health and protect you from harm always!  We love you!

My Sister's Students
