High School Graduation of my Niece Bhim

It's  been 6 years when my oldest brother died in a motorcycle  crash accident.  The photo below was taken when we visited my family in the Philippines 3 months before he died.  He gave me a ride in his motorcycle.  He was a  very good driver even on the  road like seen in the photo.  They were just developing the road to our place  when this photo was taken.  I did not know that  it was the last ride me and him would share.  I miss him, he was my closest siblings of all.  Today is his 44th birthday.  He died so young leaving three daughters who were very young then.  His youngest daughter was barely a year old when he passed.  So sad and it really hurts!
Yesterday, his oldest daughter has just graduated high school.  He could have been very proud of her as he had always been when he was still alive.  My niece is a very bright  young lady.  She and her sisters was crushed when their father passed away.  Sometimes it's  hard to accept  things that happen to our lives but we have to move on and focus on the good things.  I pray that my nieces would continue to  do great in school.
Congratulations Bhim!  I'm sure your Papa is very proud of you!

  1. It is so hard when you lose a parent at a young age-unfortunately I know this from experience-My Dad passed away 13 days before my 16th birthday. I still moss him all these years later. Yes, life goes on. I am glad that your niece is smart and is receiving her high school diploma--will there be college in her future?

  2. It's really hard facing life without a father. I could greatly relate with your story because I also don't have one. But we have to be strong and continue living.

Rebuilding a House that was Burned by the Fire

I think the worse natural disaster is fire.  With typhoon, your house may get torn into pieces but at least you can still salvage some of it...
