First Snow Fall

We had our first snowfall yesterday.  The temperature is frigid till today but according to the  weather forecast,  warmer days is up ahead so that is something I am looking forward to.  Despite the below  freezing temperature today, I went for a walk after I dropped off my daughter's lunch in school.  I prepared her lunch but she forgot it in the car when she got out so hubby has it at work.  I have a very important appointment tomorrow  so the short walk did me a great favor releasing the stress I have.  Hopefully, the outcome would be positive for  tomorrow's event.

I hope and pray also that  assistance and relief would  come across the people who were badly hit by the typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban and other parts of the Philippines.  It makes me cry every time I watch the news online.  It brings back memories when our  own home was  wiped away  by a tidal wave  years ago.

  3. I am so jealous, I have never seen real snow. I know I saw it twice where I live, but this is Florida so it did not count. I want to move.

  4. The news are heartbreaking sis. Like you, I am praying that the help will reach all those who needs it. I know the government are doing their best to do reach all the victims. I just can't stand the looks of the young children who are trapped in this tragic event. May God give them more strength.

Anyway, I always dream for a snow. I hope I can experience one too :)

  7. As much as I say I hate winter (which I do, the cold stinks) I love how beautiful it is. Our first snow fall left me feeling a little nostalgic and annoyed all at the same time.

  10. I still haven't seen a decent snow fall yet. The ones in Niagara last March were just flurries and yet, we were chilled to the bones. I would love to be able to spend 1 winter in the US. Maybe next year...White Christmas or spend Thanksgiving there.

  13. We also had our, I am not sure if it was third or fourth snowfall, but we had some snow the other day. It was warm the next day after the snowfall and the sun just melted it all away. And thank you~ I too hope that the rest of the places that had been affected by the storm will get some much needed help. There are others out there that are starving. It breaks my heart.

Rebuilding a House that was Burned by the Fire

I think the worse natural disaster is fire.  With typhoon, your house may get torn into pieces but at least you can still salvage some of it...
